ROMANIAN RAILWAY INVESTIGATING AGENCY

It was decided to open an investigation into the railway accident that occurred on 17.01.2025, at 23:45, within the area of activity of the Regional Branch CF Iași, Adjud-Bacău traffic section (electrified double line), between the Orbeni and Faraoani stops, Fir I, at km. 268+250, in the movement of freight train no. 67204016 (belonging to the rail transport operator Vest Trans Rail SRL), towed by locomotive EA 1082, consisting of 35 wagons loaded with cereals, by derailment of the first axle, in the direction of travel of the wagon Uagps series, no. 31539333345- 7, located 20th from the locomotive.

It was decided to open an investigation for the railway incident occurred on 23.12.2024, 05:45, within the radius of activity of the Regional Branch CF Constanța, on the Constanța - Medgidia traffic section, in CFR Palas station, by erroneously executing the exit route of passenger train no.1680023 (belonging to the passenger rail operator SNTFC "CFR Călători" SA) at the same time as the maneuvering route from L4 Tranzit to L1D in order to repair a pantograph train.

It was decided to open an investigation for the railway incident occurred on 11.12.2024, at 18:40, within the radius of activity of the Regional Branch CF Craiova, on the Piatra Olt - Podu Olt section (single non-electrified line), in the CFR Lotru station, by setting in motion the freight train no.57423 (belonging to the rail transport operator PSP CARGO), arrived at the station on the track no.2 deviated, without having a movement order and without having the gauging of the gauging block no.2.
